KOLBUS ›blue and red‹ brand logo | Two Brand strategy
Over the years, KOLBUS has registered a number of logos. Most recent was the familiar blue and red logo which was launched to coincide with the drupa in 2000 and which is closely connected with the company’s industrial book binding machinery. Now that the bindery machine operations have been sold to Muller Martini Buchbindesysteme GmbH, this red and blue logo will continue to stand for products ›Made in Rahden‹ recognizable to printers and binderies worldwide.
KOLBUS invests in a new machining centre for large components
Engineering – Large Components.
Kolbus has recently invested 1 million euros in a new, cost-competitive and flexible machining centre being installed in its headquarters in Rahden, Germany. The new system replaces an 18-year-old machine.
Frank Bekemeier, head of Mechanical Processing at Kolbus, explains: “This advanced, high-performance CNC machine is engineered for multi-side processing of workpieces up to 4 metres long. The improved dynamics of the new machine mean that processing times are sharply reduced. We are producing faster and more efficiently.”
With this investment in the first quarter 2018 Kolbus has positioned itself as an innovative partner for producing components for machinery and products in Rahden and to supply customers in other market segments. > more PDF download
