With the new orientation, KOLBUS is increasingly relying on its comprehensive contract manufacturing capacities. For the first time KOLBUS presented itself in the exhibition centre in Bad Salzuflen at the supplier fair for mechanical engineering. The two exhibition halls were fully booked with around 560 exhibitors and the number of exhibitors had increased slightly this year. With the reorientation at KOLBUS, the capacities of comprehensive contract manufacturing will be increasingly used. With a three-stage offer, from casting production for individual parts and small series, to complete mechanical processing, such as machining and sheet metal processing, plus assembly options in special machine construction, KOLBUS offers everything from a single source compared to other contract manufacturing companies.
The KOLBUS team with Herbert Kühn (Group Manager Mechanical Manufacturing), Dennis Barg (Sales Manager KOLBUS Foundry) and Wilfried Kröger (Production Manager) was once again able to discuss the advantages and possibilities of contract manufacturing in the region. With current investments in new CNC processing technology (2 x DMG 3-axis BAZ) for vertical processing, a new large part (3-axis BAZ type Univers), modern CNC bending technology for sheet metal construction and two new storage lifts with a height of 13.5 m, production at KOLBUS is continuously being modernised and optimised.
