The KOLBUS BOXline has won a prestigious German Packaging Award 2018 in the category ›Packaging Machines‹. The award, made by the German Packaging Institute (dvi), acknowledges innovative engineering in machinery and systems for producing attractive packaging from paper and paperboard. Striking BOXline attributes that led to the award included the fully automated process and the extreme precision with which it produced attractive and durable boxes. The SW.E_SW.H is engineered for short set-up times for format changes without retooling. For packaging manufacturers, this translates into the ability to tender profitably for short lead times even for small order volumes. The packaging awards will be made in a special ceremony on September 25 during the Fachpack trade show in Nuremberg, Germany. "We are delighted to have won this award for our innovative machine concept. The whole project team with its commitment and know-how has done a tremendous job." says Bettina Bürger, head of Marketing Service at KOLBUS.
The award ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 25th September 2018, at 4 pm in the Munich Hall, NCC Mitte Nuremberg Trade Show Centre (Messezentrum 1, 90471 Nuremberg). This year, the jurors viewed and evaluated a total of 226 different types of packaging, packaging machinery, displays, logistics solutions and young talent concepts. In the category packaging machines (technology, technology, software) there were 2 winners from 13 submissions. The patron of the German Packaging Award is the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The organizer is the German Packaging Institute e.V., DVI (www.packagingaward.de)
