KOLBUS Awarded First Prize as
›Best Factory in East-Westphalia-Lippe – Overall Winner 2006‹
›What are the characteristics of excellent Production Management that will guarantee the company a long-lasting competitive advantage?‹ In the annual ›Best Factory‹ competition this core question was used as the basis for evaluating the quality of management in manufacturing processes of the competitors. For this purpose, the analysis focused on the documentation of activities making up the entire production and logistics or supply chain process, dealing with material flows from the suppliers to the end customers.
The organiser of the competition was the Otto-Beisheim-School-of-Management in Koblenz, also known by its German abbreviation WHU. For the first time the competition was held regionally in cooperation with the FHM- Fachhochschule des Mittelstandes (University of Applied Sciences for Medium-Sized Companies) in Bielefeld.
KOLBUS was awarded the first prize as ›Best Factory in East-Westphalia-Lippe – Overall Winner 2006‹ for their excellence in complexity management. Due to their outstanding control of operational processes, KOLBUS is able to successfully produce innovative and highly sophisticated products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Everyone at KOLBUS, from the management, to the employees and the trainees, is proud to have been chosen for this prestigious award.
The ceremonial presentation of the regional ›Industrial Excellence Award 2006‹ took place at the Burghotel in Blomberg. Hans Hasse, Production Manager at KOLBUS, had the honour of accepting the certificate for first place – Best Factory.
